Hastings® distributes Laser-Accurate Sabot Slugs, Hastings® Open Field Shotguns, Hastings® shotgun barrels, choke tubes and other firearm accessories to dealers and retail resellers nationwide. We have established a reputation in the industry for quality, integrity, value and good will. All barrels are manufactured for Hastings by Verney-Carron in Saint-Etienne, France.

Over 20 years ago we introduced the first replacement rifled slug barrel. It became apparent that we had just introduced true slug gun accuracy.

(By the way, it took almost 8 years for the rest of the shooting industry to notice what we were doing, and then try to catch up. But that’s another story. . .)

Our commitment for a more accurate full bore slug lead us to a unique sabot pressure wad which helped us finalize the Laser Accurate Sabot Slugs we offer today. The patented sabot pressure wad (SPW) design that is incorporated in all of our ammunition differs in design and action from all other products. This SPW is a wad of extraordinary capabilities. It not only stays with the slug down range, but prevents flyers as well. It boosts bullet coefficient to .110 – that’s the highest in the industry because of its full length in flight. On the receiving end of its flight the SPW is released as the lead slug expands and drives through the deer. SPW - The original discarding on impact sabot.
